Project Title: Recycle It!
Advisors:
Goal: To improve the green footprint of CBC by recycling plastic bottles, glass bottles, and aluminum cans.
Qualifications: Strong/old enough to lift bags of plastic bottles, cans, bottles from bins. Must be able/willing to make phone calls and/or visits to businesses. Must have access (ex. parent for younger volunteers) to transportation to and from Club. Must be willing to work with advisor(s) to generate an efficient workflow (receptacles, collection, drop off, documentation, etc.)
Duration: One summer season minimum; with possibility to continue additional seasons if interested.
Description: The volunteer will need to set up recycle bins for plastic, glass, and cans at strategic locations around the CBC grounds. 1-3 stations should be sufficient. The volunteer will need to keep the bins clean and ready to receive the material. The volunteer will need to establish a method of getting the recycled items to Casper and delivered to appropriate recycling facility. Advisors will help with logistics and the Club will provide funds for necessary resources to establish a recycling system.
Other: Advisors are willing to work with clubs or organizations associated with the volunteer to assist in documentation/observation to confirm service of volunteer. If you are interested in pursuing this project, contact one of the advisors.

Goal: Improve the sanitation and cleanliness and aesethetics of the Club grounds
Qualifications: Strong/old enough to research and build stations (parental help ok) and provide bags for stations. Must be able/willing to make phone calls and/or visits to businesses. Must have access (ex. parent for younger volunteers) to transportation to and from Club. Must be willing to work with advisor(s) to generate an efficient workflow (stations, refill, documentation, etc.)
Duration: One summer season minimum; with possibility to continue additional seasons if interested.
Description: The volunteer will need to set up "Doggy Doo" stations at strategic locations around the CBC grounds. These stations will provide bags for the members to use to clean up after their pets. The volunteer will need to research, build, and establish the stations, along with supplying appropriate bags (grocery?) for pet droppings. The volunteer will know the rules for pets on CBC grounds. The volunteer will create necessary signage and perhaps an ad campaign to advise members about using the pet stations. Advisors:
Goal: To establish an official Monarch butterfly waystation as defined by Monarchwatch.org. This in turn will allow Monarchs to produce successive generations and sustain their migration.
Qualifications: Strong/old enough to research and establish a Monarch waystation (with help/guidance of parents and/or advisors) as described at monarchwatch.org/waystations. Must be able/willing to make phone calls and/or emails to Monarchwatch.org and other businesses/organizations as needed. Must have access (ex. parent for younger volunteers) to transportation to and from Club. Must be willing to work with advisor(s) to generate an efficient workflow (station location, resources, planting/tending, documentation, etc.).
