Linda moved to Casper in 5th grade with her family. At 16 she started working at Safeway and worked there for 14 years. She was then hired by FedEx and still works there today. Linda has been married to her husband Rob for 35 years. They have twins - Kristina and Nathan, and Linda is extremely proud of both of them. She has an amazing daughter-in-law, Ashley, and four grandchildren; Aubrey, Austin, Jack, and the newest addition, Taylor Elizabeth.
Linda grew up camping and fishing at Alcova. She wanted to give her children the same great memories, so she and Rob bought a trailer in the trailer park as well as a pontoon boat. Playing on the water is a big part of their summer. The Vondra's have great friends at Alcova and love spending weekends with them.
Mark Bower, Vice-Commodore
Term expires Dec, 2021
Mark grew up in Casper Wyoming, and after graduating from NCHS in 1976, he enlisted and served 4 years in the United States Marine Corp. After serving, Mark returned to Casper where he worked as a Public Safety Officer at the Natrona County International Airport. In 1991, he accepted a position as a Firefighter with the City of Casper, and worked in public service for 22 years before retiring as a Captain in the CFD. Feeling too young to retire, Mark worked in Human Resources at Wyoming Medical Center until 2008. His career path then took him to Wyoming Machinery Company, where he recruited staff, worked as a 6 Sigma Black Belt, sold ground engaging tools, and ultimately coordinated Safety Training. He continues to work in safety training at Wyoming Machinery Company.
Mark and his wife Suzi have 4 adult children and 7 grandchildren. The family enjoys spending summers at Alcova Lake and winters skiing at numerous ski areas in the western part of the U.S. Mark currently volunteers as a National Ski Patroller.
