Help Keep Beaches Clean A friendly reminder to all of our members to help us keep our beaches (Swim Beach and Hobie Beach) clean and organized. Please put toys back in the box, stow life preservers on the rack, and remove chairs from water and place them on the beach. These actions will allow staff to clean and ready the beaches more quickly for members who want use them the next time. Many thanks to our members for being good stewards of their Boat Club!
Please use pet waste stations provided.
Doggy Do Stations The Club has purchased and installed several pet waste stations around the grounds. Locations include back bays, beaches, gas dock, and point areas. Please use these for your pet waste. It is unsightly and unhealthy to leave pet waste where people walk. If there are no bags, contact the Club. Encourage your friends with pets to use these as well. Every member can give back to the Club Community by using these pet waste stations appropriately. Thank you!
Members Give Back to the Club It's not only the Board that contributes to the Club; CBC members contribute as well. See how members are giving back.
Bits & Pieces...
Two fawns on front steps
New Local Residents CBC appears to have two new residents...deer fawns. Last seen enjoying the warm sun on the front steps. If you see them, please give them distance and respect their space. It would also be a great opportunity to teach your children about respecting our local wildlife.
Alcova/Pathfinder Flower Bloom The spring rains, while somewhat delaying our summer, have brought a wildflower bloom. Two examples...follow dirt county road off Shoreline Drive toward Pathfinder and look on both sides of the road for purple, pink, blue wildflowers. Drive along Pathfinder road off 220 to see an amazing array of Indian Paintbrush wildflowers (and others as well). So many different colors. Hurry! This bloom won't last. Shown here are a few examples. Click on a photo below to see a larger image. To see even more great local wildflowers, click here. (Note: These are photos of real wildflowers in the area)
