Commodore Don Higbee

Don moved to Casper with his wife of 26 years, Karen and daughter Stephanie in 2007. Don graduated from Winona State University in 1992 with a BS in Human Resources. Don’s background was running a successful software business in WI, and now owns 3 small businesses in Wyoming. Don and his family enjoy spending time on their boats and PWC’s at the lake, and most importantly enjoy the club. Don and his family reside at the lake from April through September enjoying as much time as they can on the water. Don’s biggest goal as a new board member is to continue to improve the grounds, keeping things safe, and helping to provide a fun, family based feel to the club.

Secretary Chad Fagot

Chad Fagot is from a small farm town in south central Nebraska. While attending the University of Nebraska at Kearney, he started working in the construction field and has been in it ever since. In 2004 Chad moved to Casper and met his wife Kandice. Chad has a daughter Mayson from a previous marriage and he and Kandice have two children, Breckyn and Blake. They love boating, camping, and playing at the Casper Boat Club as much as they can. The minute the children cross the gate onto the grounds they feel like they are at their second home. Chad and Kandice enjoy the atmosphere, the security of their children on the grounds, and the membership. They try to do their part as members to help the club in any way so that they can enjoy it for years to come.

Treasurer Kim Latka

Kim moved to Wyoming in the mid-70s with her family and has spent a lot of time at Alcova Lake. She and her family have enjoyed the many years and memories of the beautiful lake. Kim has a son, Eric, daughter, Nicole and a grandson, Maddux. Kim was a stay at home mom until returning to college in the late 90’s to receive her BA in Accounting. She completed her college education and started her career in accounting. She has remained in public accounting since college graduation and is a partner at Killmer & Associates PC .

Brad Corkill

Brad Corkill is the manager at B&H Rig and Tong in Casper. Brad has been with B&H for 14 years. He and his wife, Denise, enjoy spending time at Alcova with their family, their friend, and their dogs. They have a place in the Alcova Lake Trailer Village where Brad also serves on the Alcova Lake Trailer Park Association Board. Brad has been around the Casper Boat Club for the past 15 years. He and his family spend their summers boating and fishing at the lake, and enjoying the club. As a board member, Brad hopes to help keep the club fun and improve services for members.

Howard Oden

Originally from Houston, Texas, Howard’s family moved to Wyoming in 1985. Howard grew up in Kemmerer and moved to Casper following high school. After graduating from Casper College with a degree in Fire Science, Howard began his career as a firefighter with Natrona County Fire Protection District. Currently, Howard is a Captain and has been with the department for 20 years. Howard and his wife Jessica have three beautiful daughters. Madelynn, Katelynn and Delaney have grown up at Alcova Lake and wish they could live in their lake “cottage” year round. The girls are regulars at the Boat Club and can often be found ordering Shirley Temples with extra cherries. The love that Howard’s daughters have for the lake and the Boat Club is what inspired Howard to be on the board. Howard is looking forward to his first board experience and hopes to preserve the fun, family culture at the club.

Mark Watson

Mark was raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada and came to the US in 1980 to study Petroleum Engineering at the University of Wyoming. Upon graduation, he began work for the Wyoming Oil and Gas Conservation Commission and has been employed with the Commission for over 30 years and is currently the Oil and Gas Supervisor for the agency. Mark and his wife Heather enjoy time at the lake and Mark is an avid sailor who sails most Wednesday afternoon’s during the summer.
