Casper Boat Club welcomes you to join us again for our annual open regatta, formerly known as the Wyoming Governor’s Cup. Our regatta has always been a series favorite for those who have taken the time to travel to Alcova Lake. The regatta includes social events, great club food service, free beer, a full service bar, free camping, free hot showers, dinghy beach, swim beach and an exceptional deep water ramp. In the past few years we have historically divided boats into the following fleets: self-righting monohulls,center board dinghies, J22, U20 and Santana 20.
Location: Alcova Lake, 30 Miles South West of Casper, WY and Alcova, WY.
Dates: June 14 and June 15, 2008

2. Rules
The regatta/race/series will be governed by The Racing Rules of Sailing (RRS),the prescriptions of US Sailing, the rules of the classes, except as any of these are
changed by the sailing instructions, by rules of the authority governing the waters on which the event is sailed (Wyoming boating regulations.) Sailing instructions will be available at registration.
Eligibility & Entries: The event is open to all self-righting monohulls and centerboard dinghies.
Boats racing One Design shall comply with their One Design Class rules. Keel Boat slips assigned based on first come - first served.
Classes to race: Classes with 5 entries or more will be placed in one-design fleets.
Classes with fewer entries will be placed in either a PHRF or Portsmouth Open handicapped fleets.
Changes to the Rules: The race officials may modify the rules . Anticipated changes include to Appendix A4.2 to provide lesser points for letter scores.
Notice to Competitors: The official notice board will be located in the club house.
Prizes: The number of prizes will be determined by the number of entries per class.
Scoring:
a. The regatta will be scored using the Low Point system of appendix A, except as modified by the sailing instructions.
b. Certificates issued by the Sail PHRF committee will be honored: other PHRF boats will have handicap ratings assigned by the race committee. Race committee assigned handicaps shall not be subject to redress, protest or appeal.
